New York, NY -- (September 18, 2008) – Integrity Music’s Joel Augé (pronounced “Ojhay”) reached a new height in his music career by being nominated for two Covenant Awards, presented by Gospel Music Association Canada. His song, “On The Blue,” has been nominated for Folk/Roots Song Of The Year and his debut album, ON THE BLUE, has been nominated for Praise & Worship Album Of The Year. The 30th Annual Covenant Awards will take place on October 24 during GMA Canada Week, October 21-25, in Calgary.
Joel Augé released his debut album, ON THE BLUE, on July 1 through Provident-Integrity Distribution and to mainstream retail outlets through SONY-BMG. ON THE BLUE’s 12 songs about life, faith and love, are vertically inspired and often introspective. His track, “So Deep In Love,” was a part of the iTunes Discovery Download of the Week. Augé also serves as a worship leader for The Meeting House family of churches in his native town of Ontario. Augé is currently on tour in the US with label mate, Lincoln Brewster, through October 5 and will continue touring through the remainder of the year.
